Trade School

  

Flexographic Trade School was created to put quality trained press operators into the Flexographic Printing Industry.


We know how hard it is to find quality trained production personnel and now you have a resource to turn to for help.


Flexographic Trade School trains our students in a real production environment on “live work” provided by our members. Our students are also trained using our Quality Assurance Production System ensuring that they understand production flow in a label company.


Students of our 3-month course can be recruited by Platinum members upon graduation.


FTS offers 2 types of press operator training classes, a 3-month course and an intensive course with a 4 or 6-week option. Details on both can be found below.



3-month Press Operator Training Class


This program is available to the public as well as our members. A member may hire someone from the school or send someone from their company to FTS for training.


Each student is required to pass both academic and production requirements before graduating. They will complete a minimum of 384 hours on press training, a written test and a hands-on exam.

                    

This class is held Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.



  

4 or 6-week Intensive Press Operator Training Class


This class is designed for people that meet the following requirements:


§ Press Helpers looking to become press operators


§ Press Operators that have been operating a press for less than 2 years looking to improve their productivity.


§ Offset Press Operators that are getting into flexo.


Students attending this training will learn the same skills as students attending our 3 month

class, only in a shorter period of time.


This class is held Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
